Rum Chicken

Method
  1. Clean and wash the chicken.
  2. Lightly heat butter in a heavy bottomed kadai.
  3. Add the onions and saute on a low flame till golden.
  4. Add salt and ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute..
  5. Add turmeric powder and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Add the chicken along with with pepper and red chilli powder and mix well.
  7. Cook on a low flame for 10 to 12 minutes.
  8. Add coriander and garam masala powder and saute on a low flame for few minutes. Simmer.
  9. Cook till the chicken is tender, mixing at regular intervals.
  10. When the chicken is done add rum and mix well. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or hot phulkas.
Ingredients:
1 kg - broiler chicken ( boneless)
5 - onions (finely chopped)
5 to 6 tbsp - butter
11/2 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
1 tsp - pepper powder
1 tsp - turmeric powder
2 tsp - red chilli powder (or as per taste)
2 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
1 1/2 tsp - garam masala powder (or as per taste)
5 tbsp - rum
salt to taste
