Almond macaroons

Method
  1. Mix almond powder, rice powder and sugar.
  2. Put in essence.
  3. Gently mix egg whites and make a thick batter.
  4. Line a large baking tray with a greased greaseproof paper.
  5. Put small blobs of mixture on it and bake in a pre-heated hot oven for 15 to 20 mins. Remove.
  6. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
Ingredients:
4 egg whites, beaten stiffly
8 tbsp rice power
1/2 tsp almond essence
2&1/2 cups almond powder
2&1/2 cups ground sugar
1&1/2 cups whipped sweetened cream
