Prawn Vada (Chinguri Bara)

Method
  1. Remove head portion of the prawn, clean, wash and keep aside.
  2. Marinade with salt and lemon juice and keep it for half an hour.
  3. Put prawn in a grinding jar and make a rough paste.
  4. Now add crushed garlic and green chillies into it and run the grinder for 1 minute.
  5. Remove it from the jar and keep prawn mixture aside.
  6. Chop onion and keep aside.
  7. Now add chopped onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves (pudina), garam masala powder and salt to taste into it and mix it properly.
  8. Now add ground rice floor into prawn mixture and mix it thoroughly.
  9. Make equal portion of small size balls and shape it like vada or cutlet.
  10. Heat oil in a deep frying pan, deep fry vadas in oil till golden brown.
  11. Sever hot with chutney and lemon twists.
Ingredients:
500 g - prawn, medium size
2 - onion (medium size)
6 to 8 flakes - garlic
3 to 4 - green chillies
2 tsp - minced coriander leaves
2 tsp - minced mint leaves (pudina)
2 tbsp - rice flour
1 tsp - garam masala powder
1 cup - refine oil (for deep fry)
salt to taste
