What to avoid ?

Insomnia or sleeplessness can cause due to anxiety, depression, worries, pain, over excitement and stress. Constipation, over eating at night, dyspepsia, excessive intake of tea, coffee, smoking and going to bed hungry, exercise immediately after meals, excessive heat, cold, rain are the other causes. Insomnia results in both physical and mental weakness of a person. These patients may also get constipation, indigestion and wind formation in the stomach.

In order to get the proper rhythm of energy through out the day it is useful to get plenty of exercise and fresh air in the daytime. It may help to get up fairly early in the morning as well as to restore this balance. A normal healthy individual should go to bed early and leave the bed well before sunrise.
