Method
- Cut cauliflower into medium size pieces.
- Grind coconut with green chilies, cumin and turmeric to a coarse paste.
- Heat the oil in a non stick kadai and fry the onion till dark brown.
- Add the ground paste and fry till it is brown. Add chili and garam masala powders, fry for 1 minute.
- Add cauliflower and salt. Cook stirring on low heat often till the cauliflower is cooked. (Do not add water).
- Serve hot with chapathi/ steamed rice and dal.
Note:
This dish takes considerable time, but is worth the effort.
