Roasted plantain pickle

Method
  1. Wash plantain and wipe dry.
  2. Roast this on the stove directly on low flame until the skin becomes roasted.
  3. Keep aside to cool.
  4. When plantain becomes cold, peel the skin and chop it into small pieces.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and roast green chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds well.
  6. Then add these to a blender along with asafoetida and cilantro and grind well.
  7. To the above mixture add the plantain pieces and grind into a smooth paste.
  8. Add little amount of water as needed.
  9. Add salt as required.
  10. Enjoy this delicious pickle with rice as well as chapathis. It smells great too!!

1 tbsp coriander Seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida
2 tsp oil
