Sinangag (Garlic Fried Rice)

Method
  1. Heat butter in a skillet.
  2. You can use oil or 50-50 of oil and butter.
  3. Drop the whole garlic in it.
  4. Roast it until deep brown.
  5. Make sure not to burn it though.
  6. This step is optional and is not followed in a regular Sinangag recipe.
  7. Remove and set the garlic aside.
  8. In the same skillet, add rest of the ingredients except the scallion greens.
  9. When aromatic and soft, toss the rice in it.
  10. Give a quick stir for the ingredients to get well incorporated.
  11. Garnish with the scallion greens and whole roasted garlic.
  12. Serve hot with any side dish of your choice.

Ingredients:
2 cups of cooked leftover rice
2-3 tbsp finely minced garlic (or as per taste)
3-4 whole peeled garlic (optional)
3-4 scallions chopped finely, whites and greens separated
Salt to taste
About 1/2 to 1 tbsp of butter/oil
