1/2 cup moong dal
1/2 piece of ginger
1/4 grated coconut
4 green chillies
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. cummin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida
1/2 cup scraped coconut
A few curry and coriander leaves
Oil as needed
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1 tsp. red chilli powder
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt to taste
