Rawa Mango Sheera

Method
  1. Peel the mangoes and remove the pulp.
  2. Soak the saffron in 1/4 cup hot milk for few minutes.
  3. Lightly heat ghee in a kadai or a heavy bottomed vessel.
  4. Add rawa and sauté till nice golden brown.
  5. Gradually add in the milk, stirring continuously with another hand to avoid lumps.
  6. Half way add in the sugar and mango pulp.
  7. Mix well till the mango pulp is nicely mixed with the rawa and the milk absorbed.
  8. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  9. Garnish with chopped dryfruits and serve hot.
Ingredients:
2 - alphonso mangoes
2 cups - rawa (semolina)
3 cups - warm milk
little less than 1 cup sugar
1 cup - ghee
3/4 tsp - powdered cardamom
15 to 20 strands - saffron (soaked in 1/4 cup hot milk)
15 - almonds (finely sliced)
10 to 12 - pistachios (finely sliced)
10 to 12 - cashewnuts (cut into halves)
