Mint Chutney

Method
  1. Heat the oil in a kadai.
  2. Add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  3. Add urad dal, Bengal gram dal, garlic, red chillies, asafoetida and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add the mint leaves and saute for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the tamarind paste to this and add salt.
  6. Grind the mixture in a mixer.
Ingredients:
1 cup - mint leaves
1 tsp - urad dal
1 tsp - bengal gram dal
3 - crushed garlic pods
4 - dry red chillies
1 tsp - tamarind paste
1 tsp - mustard seeds
a pinch of asafoetida
salt to taste
2 tsp - oil
