Quick lunch recipes
By Lakshmi Krishnamoorthy

Tick tock, tick tock. Rushing through your morning chores, a hundred things whirring in your mind, the last thing you can think about is a healthy recipe for lunch. Trust us, we know!

So we thought we`d help out a little. Here are a few tips that will help reduce the stress of having to pack lunch for your family while getting ready for office at the same time:

Using previously chopped vegetables: This may result in some loss of nutrients, but using cut, refrigerated vegetables saves a great deal of time.

Keeping knickknacks handy: Most of us waste a good deal of time hunting for lost tiffin boxes and rubber bands. Keep zip lock pouches, napkins, foils and spoons handy.

Using previously ground `masalas`: Nothing can beat the aroma of fresh ground powder. However, if you want to save time, grind them and store them in air tight containers in your freezer to be used later in your pulavs and sabzis.

And while we are at it, here are some healthy recipes that you will also find tasty at lunch:

Tomato Garlic Pulao

Methi Pulav

Vegetable Hakka Noodles

Gujarati Handvo

Sprouted green gram pulav

Rava pongal

Instant Palak Dosa

Instant Uttapam

Beet Root Paratha

Cheese and Sweet Corn Sandwich
