Basic Utensils - Tablespoons, Spatula, Teaspoons and Tongs

Tablespoons :

These not only help in measuring out quantities very easily, they also help for stirring smaller quantities of vegetables, etc. over the gas. For measuring, 1 tbsp. measures 15 ml. or 3 tsps.

Spatula :

Spatulas come in multiple materials for multiple purposes. These are long handled, flat, broad and sharp edges instruments. One may equate its general shape to a fly swatter. Rubber ones are used for cleaning out sticky things like sauces, curries, etc. easily and noiselessly from pans, wooden ones are used for mixing, flipping, etc. in nonstick ware. Steel ones, with sharp edges are used for turning pancakes, dosas,etc. with ease.

Teaspoons :

Your kitchen requires these very handy for measuring out small ingredients, like sodas, powders, etc. so simple, quick clean ones like stainless steel are the best.

Tongs :

These come in plastic for picking breads, etc. And steel ones are used for lifting boiling cobs of corn, hot sweets, servings of cakes, etc. One can use them for holding papadums, khichiyas, etc. for roasting of the flame directly.
