South Indian Sauteed Vegetables
Simple sauteed vegetables are a part of daily lunch and dinner in South India. They are called Palya in Kannada, Poriyal in Tamil , upperi in Malyalam and koora in Telugu.

These are served with steamed riceand rasam/dal or a curry. The seasonings vary from state to state and community to community. They can be served with dal and chapathis too.
