Massaging scalp with oil
Take the required quantity of hair oil in a bowl and place this bowl in warm water to warm the oil. (The oil should be processed with herbs like amla (Embelica Officinalis), bhringaraja (Eclipta alba), neem, etc. which help in healthy growth of hair and protect the scalp from infections.

Apply luke warm oil with your finger tips all over scalp after parting the hair. Apply oil to the length of the hair. Do not rub hair fibres vigorously, this may cause splitting of hair. Massage the scalp with finger tips in circular motions. Massaging the scalp with hair oil increases the blood circulation to the scalp and relaxes the mind. The oil can be left on the scalp for half an hour or overnight. Wash the scalp with a gentle herbal shampoo which is blended with extracts of natural hair conditioners and hair growth promoters like hibiscus, amla (Embelica Officinalis), bhringaraja (Eclipta alba), neem and tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum).

Hair shampooing techniques
First, rinse hair thoroughly with water to remove dirt, dye and other hair styling products. Squeeze required quantity of herbal shampoo on to your palm; spread to an even layer on your palm. Apply shampoo all over scalp and work it into a lather massaging with finger tips. It is generally observed that the first application of shampoo does not lather much because of the dirt and oil present in the hair. Thoroughly rinse the scalp and hair. Repeat the process to apply shampoo a second time and leave the lather on scalp for one minute. This helps the herbal ingredients of shampoo to work on scalp and hair roots. Now rinse hair thoroughly, taking care not to leave shampoo on scalp. Wrap a towel over scalp to dry off excess water. Do not squeeze or twist wet hair. This damages hair. Allow the hair to dry naturally. Try to avoid blow drying.
