Paprika, at Courtyard by Marriott is conducting a Biriyani festival from January 6 to 20.
Chef Amit, the man behind the Indian kitchen at Courtyard by Marriott, has come up with a special a la carte menu with 8 types of non-vegetarian and 7 types of vegetarian biriyanis.
Non vegetarians can choose from Malabar Prawn Biryani - coconut milk flavored jumbo prawn cooked with tomato and onion, finished in dum; gosht qualia biryani - tender pieces of lamb blended together with dry nuts and mint, finished in dum; ambur mutton biryani - tender pieces of lamb cooked with seera samba rice flavored with coconut milk and fresh coconut; tangdi biryani - chicken drum stick stuffed with cottage cheese and whole spices layered with long grain basmati rice, finished in dum.
Vegetarians can choose from niyamat-e-arab-biryani - long grain basmati rice cooked with seasonal vegetable and stuffed dry dates, finished in dum; qubuli - a Hyderabad delicacy in which basmati rice is cooked together with whole gram dal, finished in dum; Zaffrani seviyon biryani - vermicelli layered with seasonal vegetables flavored with mace and rose petal, finished in dum; cheesy baigan biryani - cheese stuffed baby brinjal cooked with basmati rice, finished in dum.
A glass of beer is offered free with every biriyani ordered.
