Chicken Moghlai

  1. Clean, wash and cut chicken into small pieces.
  2. Slice onions, brown them slightly and grind along with ginger, garlic, red chillies and turmeric.
  3. Mix half of the above masala with beaten curds and apply it to pieces of chicken.
  4. Heat fat, add garam masala and fry remaining masala very well till it begins to separate from oil.
  5. Add pieces of chicken and fry well till water from chicken also dries up.
  6. Add chopped coriander leaves.
  7. When chicken is cooked, add cashewnuts or almond paste and remove from fire.
  8. Add lime juice, mawa and before serving mix in beaten egg till it congulates.
  9. Serve hot garnished with the remaining chopped coriander leaves.

200 gms. Onions
10 gms. Ginger
1/2 bunch coriander
1 tsp. Turmeric powder
3 gms. Cinnamon
10 gms. Garlic
15 gms. Red chillies (remove seeds)
250 gms. Curds
1 lime
100 gms. Almonds or cashewnuts
3 gms. Cardamoms
3 gms. Cloves
Bay leaves
150 gms. Fat
1 egg
50 gms. Mava (optional)
