Kheema and val dal masala curry

Method
  1. Heat oil, add cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf, fry for a sec.
  2. Add onion and chilli pieces, fry till onions become pink and soft.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste; fry till raw smell goes.
  4. Add tomato, cook till mushy.
  5. Add coriander powder, chilli powder adn turmerci powder, cook for 2mins.
  6. Add val dal, kheema and salt, mix well, cook for 2 to 3min.
  7. Add 300 m.l.water&pressure cook upto 3to4whistles,
  8. Wait till steam escapes, add poppy seeds paste and 2 tablespoon of water, mix well and cook under sim for 2 min.
  9. Sprinkle coriander adn remove from fire.
  10. Serve with chapathi, poori, dosa, idli, fried rice even with plain rice.

350g - kheema
2 - onion, chopped
2 - green chillies, slit
1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
150g - val dal
1&1/2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
2 tsp - coriander powder
1&1/2 tsp - chilli powderv 1 - tomato, chopped
2 - cloves
2 - 1/2 inch piece cinnamon
1 - bay leaf
3 tbsp - oil
Salt
1 tbsp - coriander, chopped
Paste made from 1 tablesp of poppy seeds and 1tablesp of fresh coconut gratings
