Cut onions into small pieces. Also cut tomato into small pieces and keep aside.
Grind ginger and garlic into paste and keep aside.
Grind the dry masala (Coriander seeds, cloves, elaichi, cinnamon).
Grind the cashews into dry paste.
Fry onions in the oil till brown. Add turmeric to it. Stir for a while and then add ginger and garlic paste. When the aroma starts coming then add the chicken pieces with salt and chilly powder. Now fry till the pieces start drying up.
Then add tomato pieces to it along with water. Close the lid and let it cook for 15min. Stir in between. Keep the lid open and now add lemon juice to it. Keep stirring for 5min and then add cashew powder and coriander leaves and fry till the water in the chicken becomes thick gravy.
Finally add the dry masala and cook on low heat for another 5 min. Check if it is spicy enough or else add chilly powder and salt as required and serve hot with Rice or Chapattis.
