Salmon/Pomfret Fish Curry

  1. Clean, cut and wash the fish and sprinkle a pinch of salt.
  2. Grind the masala then heat oil in a vessel and lightly fry the fish turning the pieces.
  3. Add chopped garlic, 1 cut tomato, vinegar and cover for about 2 minutes.
  4. Then add the ground masala, add half a cup of water and bring it to a boil.
  5. Add sugar and salt to taste.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

2 lbs Fish (salmon or pomfret)
3 medium tomatoes
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
3 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt to taste
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves

Masala for grinding:
2 tomatoes out of the 3
5-6 dry chillies
1 tsp cumin seeds or 2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
