Cheese Buns

Method
  1. Place the flour in a bowl. Mix the yeast and sugar, then sprinkle over the warm milk and let it stand for 10 minutes.
  2. When it becomes frothy add the milk mixture to the flour, add the eggs and 3 tbspn melted butter and mix thoroughly.
  3. Knead this mixture for 10-15 minutes till well incorporated.
  4. Place the dough in a bowl, cover and keep till it doubles in size (ie 30-mins or more).
  5. Place the dough on a working board, knead for 5 minutes then roll out into a large square, then further cut into 1x1 cm squares.
  6. Stuff the 1x1 small squares with a cube or spoonful of cheese, seal and form round buns.
  7. In a oven proof dish (pyrex), place the extra melted butter and place the buns side by side without leaving space between them.
  8. Finally brush with the egg wash (milk +egg yolk mixture) and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  9. Let it stand for 10 minutes, then bake in a preheated oven of 400f for 15-20 minutes or till golden and done.
  10. Serve with Tea or as a snack.
Ingredients:
3 1/3 cups - plain flour
1 tbsp - yeast
1/4 cup - sugar
1 cup - warm milk
3 tbsp - melted butter
3 to 4 tbsp - extra melted butter for baking
3 tbsp - milk plus 1 egg yolk for the egg wash
1 box - kiri cheese or any other cheese cut into squares
1 tbsp - sesame seeds
2 - eggs
