Combine chilli, paprika, cloves, mustard, cinnamon, turmeric, garlic, yogurt and lemon juice in a bowl. Add chicken and marinate at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
Heat oil in a frying pan, add chicken in single layer, fry on all sides until lightly browned.
Transfer chicken and masala to an ovenproof dish. Bake, uncovered, in moderate oven for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender.
Serve garnished with onion rings. This serves 6 to 8 persons. Serve this dish with Rice or Phulkas.
Chicken- - 2 Kg (cut into medium pieces)
Chilli powder--2 tsp
Ground Paprika--1 tsp
Ground Cloves--1/4 tsp
Ground Mustard--1/2 tsp
Ground Cinnamon--1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder--1 tsp
Garlic Cloves--4-5 (crushed)
Plain Yogurt--4 tbsp
Lemon juice(fresh)--2 tbsp
Oil--4 tbsp
Salt--as per taste
2 Onions, sliced in rings and soaked in lemon juice.
