Honey and Date Cake

Method
  1. Melt margarine using double boiling method.
  2. Add chopped dates, lightly beaten eggs, honey and milk.
  3. Sift flours and return husks to the bowl.
  4. Add sugar and chopped dates. Mix well.
  5. Pour the batter into greased cake tin.
  6. Bake in moderately slow oven at 180ÂșC for about an hour.
  7. Allow to cool for 8 minutes before turning out onto wire rack.

1 cup - whole self-raising flour
1 cup - self-raising flour
1 cup - dates
1/2 cup - sugar
1/2 cup - skimmed milk
120 g - polyunsaturated margarine
1 - egg
4 tbsp - honey
