Almond Fried Fish with Ginger Sauce

Method
  1. Marinate the fish pieces in salt, curd and ginger-garlic paste and set aside for 20 mins.
  2. Mix the grated cheese, breadcrumbs and almonds well and keep aside.
  3. Beat the eggs, add milk and blend well.
  4. Dip each marinated fish piece first in flour, then egg mixture and lastly in almond mixture.
  5. Fry in oil over medium flame till golden brown.
  6. Drain on tissue papers and serve with ginger sauce.
To make ginger sauce
  1. Lightly crush the spices in a mortar.
  2. Heat the vegetable stock.
  3. Add vinegar, soya sauce, crushed spices, 6 tbsp water and bring to boil.
  4. Cook on low flame for 5 mins and strain the sauce.
  5. Cool and serve with fish.
Ingredients:
Fish cut into medium sized pieces - 750gms
1 cup dried breadcrumbs
1 cup grated cheese
3 tbsp ground almond
2 eggs
1 tbsp milk
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp sour curd
oil for deep frying
salt to taste
For Ginger Sauce
2 tbsp finely grated ginger
5 black pepper
5 cloves
1 tsp mustard seeds
6 tbsp vegetable stock
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp soya sauce
