Method
Wash the fish well and rub with � tsp turmeric powder, wash again, drain well.
Soak tamarind in 1 cup of hot water and extract the juice.
Heat oil and, temper with mustard and curry leaves.
Add onions. Fry till light brown. Add chilli powder, coriander powder and � cup water.
Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the tamarind juice. Simmer for 3 minutes.
Add fish slices and salt. Cover and simmer till the fish is cooked.
