Spaghetti with Meat and Mushroom sauce

Method
  1. Cook spaghetti in plenty of boiling water to which a tsp of salt and 2 tsp of oil is added.
  2. Drain, rinse with cold water, toss in 1 tsp of oil and keep aside.
  3. Heat � the butter with remaining oil.
  4. Brown the meat in it.
  5. Add carrot, celery and onion.
  6. Fry for a few minutes.
  7. Add salt and pepper and tomatoes, bay leaf and thyme.
  8. Add 2 cups of water and simmer till the meat is cooked.
  9. Add mushrooms and simmer for 2 more minutes.
  10. Add the remaining butter and maida.
  11. Simmer for 2 more minutes.
  12. Serve the spaghetti, topped with the sauce.

spaghetti - 200 gm
butter - 4 tbsp
oil - 1/3 cup
cloves - 2
bay leaf - 1
dried thyme - 1 tsp
minced meat - � kg
carrot - 1, chopped
celery - 2 stalks, chopped
onions - 2, chopped
tomatoes - � kg, peeled and chopped
button mushrooms - 200 gm, chopped
maida - 1 tbsp
pepper to taste
salt to taste
