Method
  1. Marinate mutton pieces with salt, turmeric powder and curd for an hour, keep covered.
  2. Heat oil/ghee in a wok, add bay leaf, onion and the ground masala and cook for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add marinated mutton pieces, a little turmeric powder, ginger and garlic pastes, powdered spices, tomatoes and salt to taste and cook for 15/20 minutes.
  4. Cover and simmer till meat is done and the gravy is reduced.
  5. Serve hot with rice or parathas.
Ingredients:
500gms - mutton (leg)
1 - onion, chopped
1 tsp - ginger paste
2 tsp - garlic paste

Grind to powder:
4 - cloves, 4 - green cardamom, 1-inch stick - cinnamon, 10/12 - black pepper
1 - bay Leaf
1 tsp - red chilli powder
1 tsp - cumin seed powder
2 tsp - coriander powder
1 tsp - turmeric powder
3/4 cup - curd
4 - tomatoes, cut into pieces
4 tbsp - oil/ghee
Salt to taste
