Meat in green masala gravy

Method
  1. Grind the green chilies, coriander leaves, coconut, poppy seeds, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and cumin seeds to a smooth paste in a blender.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry the onions till golden brown.
  3. Add the meat, ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder and fry for some time.
  4. Now add the ground masala and salt and mix well with the meat.
  5. Keep frying on low heat till the oil separates from the masala.
  6. Add the potatoes and sufficient water and pressure cook for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
  8. This curry is good with ghee rice or palau rice

Ingredients:
1/2 kg beef or mutton cut into medium pieces
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
4 green chillies
3 tbsp coriander leaves
2 tsp poppy seeds (kuskus)
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 cloves, 2 cardamom, 2 pieces of cinnamon
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp oil
3 potatoes pealed washed and cut into quarters
2 onions sliced finely
1/2 cup coconut paste
