Prawn Balchao

Method
  1. Grind together the cumin, pepper and Kashmiri chillies in vinegar and mix in the turmeric.
  2. Heat the oil and fry the onions.
  3. Now add the prawns and the ground masala.
  4. Next add the curry leaves, the chopped ginger, green chillies and garlic.
  5. Add salt and vinegar to taste and simmer till well cooked.
  6. This should be eaten with rice and curry.
Ingredients:
1/4 kg - prawn (shelled)
1 tsp - cumin
1 tsp - pepper
10 - kashmiri chillies
vinegar to taste
1 tsp - turmeric
2 cups - oil
4 - medium onions (minced)
2 - large springs curry leaves
1 inch - ginger (chopped)
3 - whole pods garlic (chopped)
4 to 5 - green chillies (de-seeded and chopped)
salt to taste
