Mutton Brown Stew

Method
  1. Cook mutton with half the chopped onion and the ginger garlic paste, and chilli powder, till almost done.
  2. Slice onions and potatoes into lengthwise pieces.
  3. Fry each separately till crisp and set aside.
  4. In a wide pan heat the butter and fry the remaining chopped onion till brown
  5. Then add the wheat flour till well roasted
  6. Now add about 2 cups water and stir carefully breaking lumps if any.
  7. Now add the mutton with the cooking water and mix well.
  8. Add the two sauces salt and pepper and mix well
  9. Bring to a boil.
  10. Add the fried onions and potatoes and simmer till mutton is tender.
  11. Adjust thickness to thick gravy consistency.
  12. Check spices and serve hot with bread and a salad.
Ingredients:
500 g - mutton cut into pieces
1/2 cup - wheat flour
2 - medium sized onions
2 - medium potatoes
1 - small onion chopped fine
1 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp - worchester sauce
1 tbsp - vinegar
1 tbsp - butter
1 tsp - salt and pepper
red chilli powder
