Chicken Pasta Hot Pot

Method
  1. Cook macaroni, drain, rinse with cold water, toss in 2 tsp of oil and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil, fry garlic, ginger and celery till fragrant.
  3. Add spring onion and tomato and chili powder. Simmer till tomato is pulpy.
  4. Add tomato ketchup, chicken and salt. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Mix in the cooked macaroni, remove from fire and pour in a greased baking dish.
  6. Melt butter for sauce, add flour, cook till the raw smell is lost.
  7. Add milk; cook stirring till it just begins to boil.
  8. Remove from fire, add � the beaten egg and � the grated cheese, salt and pepper.
  9. Pour over the chicken and macaroni mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  10. Pour remaining egg over it.
  11. Dot with butter and bake in a hot oven (200C) till brown on top. Serve hot

Ingredients:
1 cup - cooked chicken meat, flaked
1/2 cup - tomato ketchup
4 - onions, chopped
3 - tomatoes, chopped
3 - spring onions, chopped
100 g - short macaroni
4 flakes - garlic, minced
2 cm - ginger, minced
2 stalks - celery, chopped
1 tsp - chili powder
salt to taste

For Sauce:
300 ml - milk
2 tbsp - butter
2 tbsp - flour (maida)
50 g - cheese
1 - egg
salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp - butter to dot
3 tbsp - oil
