Sweet Corn and Minced Meat Haleem

Method
  1. Pressure cook minced meat with sweet corn, salt and about 1 cup of water for 15 minutes.
  2. Roast coconut and poppy seeds till light brown.
  3. Cool and grind to a paste.
  4. Heat ghee and fry onions till golden brown.
  5. Add coconut paste and chili powder. Fry till fragrant.
  6. Add curds and simmer till oil floats on top.
  7. Add the meat and corn mixture, simmer for few minutes.
  8. Add milk and simmer till the mixture thickens to a semi solid consistency.
  9. Serve garnished with mint, coriander and slices of lime.
Ingredients:
minced meat - � kg
sweet corn kernels - 350 gm
grated coconut - � cup
white poppy seeds (khus khus) - 2 tbsp
curd - 1 cup
milk - 1 cup
ghee - 2 tbsp
onion - � cup, sliced
garlic - 1 tsp, minced
ginger - 1 tsp, minced
chili powder - 2 tsp
mint leaves - 2 tbsp
coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
lime - 1
salt to taste
