Gajjar Chingiri

Method
  1. Heat 4 tbsps. oil and add prawns and fry till dry and brown.
  2. Put in vegetables, salt, sugar and all the spices and little water.
  3. Cover tightly and cook over a slow fire till the prawns and vegetables are cooked and dry.
  4. Remove from fire and serve garnished with minced green chillies and sprigs of coriander leaves.
Ingredients:
500 g - finely grated carrots
500 g - shelled green peas
250 g - small prawns, shelled and deveined
1 tbsp - ground cumin seeds
1 tsp - garam masala
1 tsp - pepper powder
1 tbsp - sugar
5 - red chillies, powdered
3 - green chillies, minced
a few sprigs coriander leaves
salt to taste
