Prawn Balchao

Method
  1. Grind garlic, red chillies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper corns, to a paste.
  2. Add feni (or white rum), vinegar, and prawns powder to the paste.
  3. Saute chopped onions in oil till brown.
  4. Add prawns to the brown onions and saute till the prawns change color.
  5. Add sugar and salt and stir till sugar dissolves completely.
  6. Add prepared paste and stir briskly.
  7. Cook for a minute.
  8. Serve with rice or rotis.
Ingredients:
� kg - medium sized prawns
1 tbsp - garlic paste
10 pieces - red chillies
1 tsp - cumin seeds
1 tsp - turmeric powder
1 tsp - cloves
1 tbsp - ginger paste
4 pieces - cinnamon
1 tsp - black pepper corns
1 tbsp - goan palm feni or white rum
1 tbsp - vinegar
3 tbsp - dried prawn powder
2 tbsp - oil
3 - onions
1 tsp - sugar
salt to taste
