Garlic Prawns

Method
  1. Clean, devein and wash the prawns well. In a bowl mix all the ingredients to make the batter. Mix well.
  2. Marinate the prawns in it for 10 minutes. Deep fry the prawns till crisp.

For the Sauce:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan.
  2. Add the crushed and chopped garlic. Saute for few seconds.
  3. Add the sauces, aji-no-motto, salt, sugar and pepper powder.
  4. Cook for a minute. Add water or stock. Simmer.
  5. Add the kept aside fried prawns. Mix gently.
  6. Add the cornflour solution. Give it a boil.
  7. When the gravy becomes little thick remove from gas.
  8. Garnish with finely chopped spring onions and chlli oil.
  9. Serve hot with fried rice and haka noodles.
Ingredients:
500 g - (big sized prawns)
oil for deep frying

For the Batter:
1 - egg
2 to 3 tbsp - cornflour
pinch - salt
pepper powder (as per taste)

For the Garlic Sauce:
6 cloves - garlic(finely chopped)
11/2 cup - water or stock
2 tbsp - oil
1 tsp - crushed garlic
4 tbsp - tomato sauce
1 tsp - chilli sauce
1 tsp - soya sauce
� tsp - aji-no-motto
� tsp - salt
� tsp - pepper powder
� tsp - sugarv 1 - finely chopped greens of the spring onion ( to garnish)
1 tbsp - cornflour (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
2 tbsp - chilli oil (to garnish)
