Method

  1. Wash the prawns and marinate in turmeric and salt for 3 to 5 mins.

  2. Add oil or ghee to a pan and fry onions till golden brown. Add marinated prawns and green peas and cover and cook for 10 mins.

  3. Add the rice and fry for a few mins.

  4. Add coconutmilk, ground powder, salt to taste and 2 cups water. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes till rice is done.

  5. Serve hot with salad.

Ingredients:
Prawns- 1 cup
Basmati Rice- 2 cups washed and soaked for a few minutes
Green Peas- 1 cup
Onion- 1 large
Coconut Milk - 2 cups
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Ghee or Oil -2 tbsp

Grind to a Powder:

Dry Red Chillies- 4 or 5 depending on taste
Cloves-3
Cinnamon-1 inch stick
Cardamom-3
