Method
  1. Combine eggs and sugar. Beat until thick.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder.
  3. Add flour, melted butter, vanilla essence and water to the egg mixture.
  4. Spoon a little into each well greased moulds.
  5. Bake at 190ÂșC for 12-15 mins. or until golden brown.
  6. Remove and cool on wire rack.
  7. Brush each Madeleine with jam.
  8. Coat well with dessicated coconut and glace cherries.
Ingredients:
1 cup - flour
1 cup - castor sugar
185 g - butter (melted)
2 - eggs
2 tsps - baking powder
1 tsp - vanilla essence
1 tbsp - hot water

To decorate:
dessicated coconut
glaced cherries and jam
