Method
- Beat together eggs, sugar and water over a pan of hot water.
- Add quarter tsp. of strawberry essence and a little colour.
- Sieve flour and fold in gently.
- Pour batter into a well greased tin and bake at 180°C until done.
- Cool and cut horizontally into 2 layers.
- Beat cream and sugar with quarter tsp.of strawberry essence and little colour.
- Divide cream into 2 portions.
- To one portion, add chopped fruit and spread on the bottom layer.
- The other portion is to be used as the decoration alongwith the cherry on the top layer.

1/2 cup - flour
1/3 cup - sugar
2 - eggs
2 cups - cream
1/3 cup - castor sugar
2 tbsps - water
2 - apples (chopped)
2 slices - pineapple
1 - cherry
1/2 tsp - strawberry essence
1/4 tsp - red food colour
