Fry onions till golden brown. Add cuury leaves (patha). Add cloves, cinnamon and cut green chilli and let fry for a min.
Add ginger garlic paste. Fry. Add chilli, turmeric, coriander and cumin powders. Cover and fry on slow fire for about 7-10 mins making sure it does not burn.
Add whole tomato with puree. Cover and let cook for 20 mins making sure it does not burn. Add salt and sugar. Add chicken and let fry for 5 mins. Add water to barely cover chicken. Cover and let cook till curry thickens and chicken cooks.
Add peas in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Serve with Parathas or Rice.
