Wash chicken and with a fork prick the chicken pieces to help the masala get into the chicken. Mix together with all the spices and add a little water. Cover and keep on medium fire to cook. Stir in-between. Takes about 20 mins. to get cooked.
For gravy : Add extra water.For dry : After cooking, open cover and let cook till all the water evaporates.
1 whole cut up Chicken
2 tbsp. Chilli Powder (reduce for less spicy)
1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder
1 tblsp. Dhania Powder
2 tsp. Ginger Garlic Paste
2 tblsp. Vinegar or 1 cup curds
1 tsp. Ground Spice Masala (Cinnamon sticks, Cloves, Cardamom)
Salt to taste
Tandoori (Red) Powder to coat
