Method
- Boil the crabs and remove the meat from the shells and fry to a red colour.
- Grind ginger and cumin seeds to a paste.
- Heat 4 tbsps. oil and put in bay leaves and half tsp cumin seeds.
- When the seeds turn brown, add all the spices with the exception of garam masala.
- Mix well then put in ginger paste, salt and pumpkin.
- Cover tightly and cook without adding water till the pumpkin is almost done, put in the crab meat and continue cooking till the pumpkin is cooked.
- Pour in 2 tbsps. oil and fry till dry and turns a nice brown colour.
- Remove from fire and sprinkle garam masala, chillies and coriander leaves on top.

500 g - peeled and cubed pumpkin
2 - medium sized crabs
1 tbsp - cumin seeds
1 - big piece ginger
3 - bay leaves
2 - green chillies, minced
1 tsp - each of garam masala and turmeric powder
salt and chilli powder to taste
handful of coriander leaves
