Melt the butter in a non-stick pan and break the egg into it.
Season the top with salt and pepper.
Place the slice of bread over the half-done egg and press down slightly.
When the underside of the egg is done, flip the whole thing over and continue to fry till the bread turns golden brown
This bread-and-egg is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious!
1 Egg
1 Slice of white or brown bread
Salt and pepper
Butter or Oil for frying
