Butter Nuts

Method
  1. Cream butter and sugar till fluffy
  2. Add in the well beaten eggs.
  3. Add little little of the flour and make a nice soft dough
  4. Make small balls of the dough (approx. 2 cms dia)
  5. Flatten one side of the ball and keep this as the base
  6. Roll the rounded side of the ball in the beaten egg white thereafter roll this into the crushed cashews.
  7. Place this on a greased baking tray leaving space between each piece.
  8. Top each piece with half cherry and bake for approx. 15 mins at 160 Deg C.
  9. Your butter nuts are ready to eat.
  10. Cool and store in airtight containers.
Ingredients:
3 cups maida
1.5 cups powder sugar
3 egg yolk and 1 egg white (reserve the balance 2 egg whites for coating)
� cup butter

For decoration
crushed cashews and cherries half chopped
