Method
- Melt margarine using double boiling method.
- Add chopped dates, lightly beaten eggs, honey and milk.
- Sift flours and return husks to the bowl.
- Add sugar and chopped dates. Mix well.
- Pour the batter into greased cake tin.
- Bake in moderately slow oven at 180ÂșC for about an hour.
- Allow to cool for 8 minutes before turning out onto wire rack.

1 cup - whole self-raising flour
1 cup - self-raising flour
1 cup - dates
1/2 cup - sugar
1/2 cup - skimmed milk
120 g - polyunsaturated margarine
1 - egg
4 tbsp - honey
