Method
  1. Combine flour, sugar, lemon rinds, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter.
  2. Blend enough milk to make 2 cups with eggs and juice.
  3. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
  4. Roll dough out to 1 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 3-inch rounds.
  5. Place on greased sheets.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes : 12 large scones.
Ingredients:
6 c - flour
1 c - sugar
3 - lemon rinds
3 ts - baking powder
1 1/2 ts - salt
1 1/2 c - softened butter
3 ts - poppy seeds
3 - eggs
3 - lemon, juice
milk
