Method
- Cook macaroni as per the directions on the pack.
- Heat oil, fry onion till light brown.
- Add green chilies, ginger and celery and fry for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes, chili powder, ketchup, vegetables, macaroni and salt.
- Mix well (add a little water or stock if necessary ) and remove from fire.
- Pour in a greased baking dish.
- Melt butter for sauce, add maida and fry till the raw smell is lost.
- Add milk, and cook stirring till it just begins to boil.
- Remove from fire, add � the beaten egg and � the grated cheese, salt and pepper.
- Pour over the macaroni vegetable mixture.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Pour remaining egg over it.
- Dot with 1 tbsp of butter and bake in a hot oven (200 C ) till brown on top. Serve hot.
Non Vegetarians : Use cooked chicken instead of vegetables.

short macaroni - 100 gm
boiled vegetables - 2 cups
onions - 1 cup, chopped
tomatoes - 1 cup, chopped
green chillies - 3, minced
ginger - 2 cm, minced
celery - 2 stalks, chopped
refined oil - 3 tbsp
chilli powder - � tsp, optional
tomato ketchup - � cup
salt to taste
For Sauce :
milk - 300 ml
butter - 2 tbsp
maida - 2 tbsp
cheddar cheese - 100 gm, grated
egg - 1, lightly beaten
butter - 1 tbsp, for topping
salt and pepper to taste
