Savoury Vegetable Cake

Method
  1. Mix flour with baking powder, salt, sugar, turmeric and garam masala.
  2. Heat 1/4 cup of oil and lightly fry the onions.
  3. Cool and mix with the vegetables and green chillies.
  4. Beat the eggs, add oil and lime juice and beat well again.
  5. Mix the beaten egg and oil mixture with flour and the vegetable mixture. Add the milk.
  6. Pour in a greased 6" round cake tin and bake in a moderate oven (180 O C ) till done (25-30 minutes).
  7. Cool, cover with mint and corriander chutney and decorate with tomato and cucumber slices.

Plain flour (maida) - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Powdered sugar - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Refined oil - � cup
Onion - � cup, chopped
Green chillies - 2, chopped
Eggs - 2
Lime juice - 2 tsp
Finely chopped vegetables - � cup (carrot, beans, cauliflower)
Shelled green peas, boiled - � cup
Lime juice - 2 tsp
Milk - 4 tbsp
