Method
- Whip eggs until frothy, and add half of sugar and whip it again until fluffy.
- Add the remaining sugar and whip for 10 mins.
- Sift flour and fold it into egg mixture.
- Grease a 9 inch (22 cm) square pan and fold in half the batter.
- Sprinkle with half of walnuts and dates and pour the rest of the batter over them.
- Sprinkle the remaining walnuts and dates on.
- Steam for 20 mins. over high heat. Cut into small squares to serve.
