Walnut Rolls

Method
  1. Melt butter, add garlic and fry till fragrant.
  2. Add green chilies and flour, cook gently for 1 minute.
  3. Remove the pan from fire and stir in the water or stock.
  4. Mix till smooth.
  5. Return the pan to fire and cook stirring till the mixture is thick.
  6. Remove the pan from heat.
  7. Add salt, walnuts, coriander leaves and 1 � cup of bread crumbs.
  8. Cool the mixture and shape into 10 sausage shaped rolls.
  9. Beat the egg lightly and mix with milk.
  10. Dip the rolls in egg and milk mixture and roll in remaining bread crumbs.
  11. Deep fry the rolls in moderately hot oil till golden brown.
  12. Drain on kitchen paper.
  13. Serve hot with ketchup.

Makes: 10 Rolls

Ingredients:
soft bread crumbs - 2 cup
walnuts - 1/3 cup, finely chopped
coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, chopped
egg - 1
butter - 4 tbsp
garlic - 2 tsp, minced
green chilies - 1 tsp, finely chopped
flour - 1/3 cup
water or stock - 300 ml
milk - 30 ml
oil to deep fry
pepper to taste
salt to taste
