Yoghurt and Lemon Cake

Method

  1. In a bowl add butter, sugar and mix it nicely.

  2. Separate the white and yellow portion of an egg. Add the white portion to the bowl. Do this for all 3 eggs.

  3. Mix it nicely.

  4. Also mix the maida and baking powder separately.

  5. Add half the yoghurt (100gm) and half the maida to the bowl.

  6. Add the almonds and lemon juice to the mixture.

  7. Add the remaining yoghurt and maida.

  8. Now add the whites of the eggs to the bowl.

  9. Mix it with light hands properly.

  10. Take a tube-cake pan and grease it thoroughly with oil or butter.

  11. Pour the mixture into it.

  12. Put the pan in a preheated oven (180 degrees celsius) till it is done.

Ingredients:

21/2 Cup Bleached Flour (Maida)
1 Cup Sugar
3 Eggs
200 gm Yoghurt
5 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Cup Grated Almonds
2 tsp Lemon Juice
200 gm Butter
