Fish in Lemon Sauce

Method
  1. Marinate fish with the marinade ingredients and refrigerate for an hour.
  2. Dust with cornflour and deep fry. Keep warm.
To make lemon sauce:
  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add the spring onions and sliced ginger. Saute for 30 seconds.
  2. Add stock, ajinomotto, grated lemon rind, salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Simmer for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the cornflour and honey and let it simmer for another 30 seconds.
  5. Now add the lemon juice, check seasoning and if required add more.
  6. Place dish on a serving platter and pour the sauce over it.
Ingredients:
350 gms - fish fillet (cut into cubes)
oil for deep frying

Marinade:
2 tbsp - flour
1 tbsp - cornflour
½ tsp - white pepper powder
1 tbsp - ginger paste
1 tbsp - lemon juice
salt to taste
2 tbsp - cornflour for dusting
½ cup - spring onions
8 - thin slices of ginger
1 cup - fish stock
¼ tsp - ajinomotto
a pinch turmeric powder or yellow food colouring
¼ tsp - white pepper powder
1 tbsp - lemon rind, grated
1 tbsp - lemon juice
1 tbsp - cornflour, dissolved in half cup water
2 tbsp - oil
1 tsp - honey
salt to taste
